Website Quality Assurance

Enhance your website & its image by putting it through the Society of Internet Professionals ™ (SIP) Website Quality Certification service (the "Certification Service").
The certification service examines key aspects of your Website and provides you with a detailed report for each criterion. By passing the SIP Website Quality Certification you will be awarded a SIP plaque.

SIP has developed more than 100 criteria based on "best practices", structured into the following sections:

1. Usability & Accessibility
Your Website will be evaluated for ease of use, cross browsers capable, quality of navigation, Accessibility of information, consistency of design across the site, quality of overall design, and customer support. Ability of user to contact website organization and help resources.

2. Structure & Coding

Your Website will be evaluated for file Organization, HTML code structure, spelling, and grammar of content.

3. Link Details

Checking links is critical. The SIP QA process will examine internal and external links that are broken, inbound links to orphaned URLs and list the broken links from other sites to your website.

4. Functionality & Performance Testing

The site interactivity and functionality will also be examined to verify that it does what it is supposed to do. There are two aspects for such an assessment: one is interactivity with users of the site and another is the spontaneous feeding of the data to the business (website owner) and back to the user. Response time, load and stress testing will be performed to assess its acceptability with various hardware and software environment of user.

5. Legal Issues

Legal liabilities are important considerations for a website. Your site will be reviewed for applicable privacy policies, Website terms of use and other polices in respect of the activities conducted on the website.

The "Certification Service" is provided in two parts:

  • IAW: Initial Assessment of the website - Attention is paid to potential problem areas.
  • WQA: Website Quality Audit - Performed only after passing grade for IAW

Both parts will contain a list of similar sites, traffic and its ranking with major sites, speed of transfer of pages, and site reviews.
